Ivana Trump’s lavish townhouse decorated in gold and pink marble has had its price reduced by $4 million after failing to sell in nearly a year.

More than a year after her death, Ivana Trump’s extravagant New York City townhouse is still struggling to sell.

The listing for the Upper East Side property shows the asking price was dropped by $4 million to $22.5 million on Sept. 7. When the 8,725-square-foot Manhattan townhouse was first listed in November 2022, it was being sold for $26.5 million.

Ivana Trump lived in the five-story property until her death in July 2022 at the age of 73. Former President Donald Trump’s first wife has died after accidentally falling down the stairs of Trump’s townhouse.

Ivana Trump purchased the property for approximately $2.5 million in 1992 following her messy divorce from Donald Trump, in which she received a $25 million settlement. She renovated the townhouse and furnished it with a grandeur that was befitting the larger Trump brand.

Like her former husband, Ivana Trump also had a love of gold and filled the house with gold, including a spectacular gold fabric ceiling as well as gold decorations, curtains, and chandeliers.

The five-bedroom home also features animal prints, with one room’s walls, floor and furniture covered in leopard print, as well as a leopard painting hanging on the wall.

One of the home’s five bathrooms is decorated almost entirely in pink, including pink marble countertops, tiles, ceilings and tubs.

The home also features a small doll modeled after Ivana Trump, complete with blonde hair and fur accessories.

A few months after the townhome was listed, people started noticing that it wasn’t selling, but it wasn’t clear why, The New York Times reported. Yet, after nearly 10 months on the market, there was no price increase until the latest cut.

It is unclear why the house did not sell. The Wall Street Journal reported that the proceeds of the sale would go to the three children Ivana Trump shares with Donald Trump: Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, and Ivanka Trump.

If you want to make it your own, the property’s listing estimates monthly mortgage payments after a $4.5 million down payment will be about $127,217.
