Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max in Natural Titanium.
Apple says there are now more ways than ever to buy its latest iPhones, Apple Watches and AirPods Pro. This is good because, inevitably, some will be in higher demand than others – and if rumors of limited initial supply of the flagship iPhone 15 Pro Max prove true, the early bird grabs the 256GB model.
Here are all the ways to purchase new products and what you should do now to increase your chances of success.
Step 1: Before pre-orders start, get ready
According to an Apple Newsroom post, pre-order start day is tomorrow, Friday, September 15. To be exact, 5 a.m. Pacific. All four iPhones, the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max, will be available on sale at that time. This means pre-orders will go live at 8am Eastern, 1pm UK, 2pm mainland Europe.
You can’t place your order before then, but you can prepare now to get to the front of the line as possible.
As Apple explained, “As of Thursday, September 14 at 9PM PDT, customers can get started on pre-orders by choosing their new iPhone 15 model, selecting their preferred payment method, and dropping the product in their shopping bag – So you’re just a click away from placing your order once pre-orders open at 5am PDT on Friday, September 15th.”
Its closing times are 9pm Pacific, meaning midnight Eastern, 5am UK, and 6am mainland Europe.
By the way, if it’s any other new products you want: Apple Watch Series 9, Apple Watch Ultra 2, AirPods Pro 2Ra generation with MagSafe Charging (USB-C), which definitely has Apple’s least catchy product name ever, you can already order them now.
Step 2: Friday’s Big Day
Expect pre-orders to go crazy and be prepared to be agile. If your favorite color or storage option is sold out or suddenly shipment dates seem weeks away, consider being more flexible.
If, like most people, you wear your iPhone with a case, a different color may not make that much of a difference in the long run. When it comes to storage, the additional costs are definitely higher, so this can be a big issue.
Step 3: Wait
You can visit an Apple Store to pick up new products.
Once you’ve placed your order—congratulations!—you now have to wait until the sale date, Friday, September 22nd. You can choose to pick up the product in store or have it delivered from next Friday. An Apple Retail Team member will help you set up the iPhone in the store, or, as Apple says, “Customers can meet with an Apple Retail Team member online, via video, or at their local Apple Store for a shop.” Connect with expert sessions, and get personalized advice on purchasing and installing new equipment.”
